Problem Statement 1: AI Generated Image Detection System
Description:
With the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence tools, it has become easy to generate or manipulate images that look very realistic. These AI-generated or AI-edited images are increasingly being misused for fraud, misinformation, harassment, and illegal activities. The objective of this problem statement is to design a system that can automatically detect whether an uploaded image is AI-generated or manipulated, and take preventive action before it causes harm.
Use Cases / Examples:
1. Social Media Image Morphing:
People are morphing or generating fake images of women or actresses and uploading them on social media platforms. If this system is implemented, the image can be verified during upload. If it is detected as AI-generated, the platform can block or restrict the upload, helping to protect privacy and prevent misuse.
2. Food Delivery Refund Fraud:
On food delivery platforms such as Swiggy and Zomato, some users generate fake images of spoiled food using AI tools and upload them to claim refunds fraudulently. An AI image detection system can identify such fake images and prevent false refund claims.
3. General Fraud and Illegal Activities:
AI-generated images can be used for fake documents, misleading advertisements, identity manipulation, and other illegal activities. Detecting such images early helps reduce fraud, misinformation, and social harm while promoting responsible AI usage.
Problem Statement 2: Smart Crowd Management System
Description:
Crowd management has become a major challenge in India, especially during large public gatherings such as political meetings, festivals, railway stations, airports, concerts, and religious events etc. Poor crowd control often leads to overcrowding, stampedes, injuries, and loss of lives. The goal of this problem statement is to design an effective system that helps monitor, predict, and manage crowd movement to improve public safety.
This is a generic problem statement where participants can select any real-world location and propose a practical solution using software, hardware, IoT, AI, sensors, cameras, mobile applications, or analytics platforms.
Participants are encouraged to select any location and design a solution that improves safety, efficiency, and emergency response.
Problem Statement 3: Student Innovation Challenge
Description:
This problem statement encourages students to present innovative ideas that solve real-world problems. Participants are free to propose solutions in software, hardware, embedded systems, IoT, AI, robotics, or hybrid technologies.
All innovative ideas with clear problem definition, solution approach, and impact are welcome.
